Does the hotel have a doctor on call?
Yes the hotel has a doctor on call 24 hours a day.

What happens if I need hospitalisation whilst on holiday in Malta?
Malta has an excellent health service. Hospitals are modern and supported by a regional network of health centres. Visitors from EU member states should make sure that they have a European Health Insurance card. Malta has reciprocal health agreements with Australia and the United Kingdom. Nationals of these countries, visiting the Islands for no longer than one month, are entitled to free medical and hospital care in both Malta and Gozo.
Visitors receiving special medical treatment should bring a medical prescription or a letter of introduction from their family doctor, in case they need to purchase particular medicines.

How can I keep in touch with my home or office?
The hotel has a direct dial facility in all the rooms, moreover clients can receive or send faxes through reception on a 24 hour basis. From Castagna 24 Hour Internet Cafeteria, clients can also keep up with their e-mail on a 24 hour basis. Wi-fi is available throughout the hotel.

Does the hotel offer a taxi or car hire service?
The hotel offers both taxi and car hire service. More details in relation to costs can be easily obtained from reception which is open 24 hours.

Can I have a room with a balcony?
All rooms in the hotel have balconies.

What kind of activity is there in the resort?
Hotel Santana is located close to shops, bars, restaurants, discos, casino and multiplex cinema. While the surrounding hotel area is a relatively quiet one, all the above amenities are within walking distance.

the Hotel have sea view rooms and what are the supplements?
Although some of the rooms on the higher floors have sea views, most of the rooms do not a sea view. There are no supplements for rooms having sea views.


Are there banks close to the hotel?
The two major banks in Malta, Bank of Valletta and HSBC, are within walking distance from the hotel.

Are there any churches in the locality?
Yes, there are two churches in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Both are within walking distance.

Should I rent a car what are the parking facilities available?
The hotel is located just opposite a major public parking facility.

What is the distance from the hotel to the nearest buses station and were do buses go to?
The bus terminus is a two minute walk away from the hotel, from where clients can get buses to Valletta (the Capital) or to main areas around the island. Some of the areas which buses run directly to are : Cirkewwa (Gozo Ferry) and Mellieha Bay one of the main sandy beaches, Golden Bay ( sandy beach area), Sliema,Rabat, Mdina, Crafts Village, Three Cities (Vittoriosa, Senglea and Cospicua), Marsaxlokk (fishing village), San Anton Gardens(Gardens of the Presidential Palace), Marine Park, Mosta Village, Paradise Bay (sandy beach). How long will it take me to arrive at the hotel from the Airport?
Transfer time from Malta International Airport in Gudja takes approximately 25 to 30 minutes.

How close is the hotel to the General Hospital?
The hotel is approximately a 15 minute journey from Mater Dei Hospital. However, there are clinics in the local area.

What is the distance to the closest beach?
The majority of sandy beaches are located in northern part of the island but a small man made sandy beach is just 300 metres from hotel next to the rocky beach. One can easily reach the beaches in the north using buses which run every 20 minutes. It only takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes to get to these locations.

What is the cost of using these buses?
The cost of a single journey by bus depends on the route. A whole day ticket costs €2.60 and week tickets costs €6.00. Fare prices are subject to change without prior notice. A night service is available.


What credit cards does the hotel accept?
The hotel accepts all major credit cards including American Express.

What can I eat since I have special dietary requirements?
Whether you are on a low salt diet, gluten free diet etc … our kitchen team would be more than happy to cater for any special dietary requests.

What time do I have to check out of my room?
Check-out time is 11:00 am. Should you wish to extend your stay after that time, you may ask Reception. Additional charges are applicable for extensions after 11am. However, you may leave your baggage in the luggage room for subsequent collection.

What currencies does the hotel accept?
Payment of bills can be made in all major currencies.

Can I bring my pet with me on holiday?
The Hotel does not allow pets onto the Hotel property. However guide dogs are allowed.

Does the hotel offer any vegetarian meals?
Vegetarian meals are available in both our restaurants on a daily basis.
